13- YIKES

Happy 13 Birthday Tarah....

okay I am late getting this post out as her birthday was last week but here it is. See that is what happens now that I have 2 teenagers in the house- Chaos!.

Tarah is such an animal lover especially DOGS... she knows everything about them and trains our dogs. Our youngest dog she has been teaching him agility. Now she has not had any training she is just a natural. It's becasue she has such a soft heart and is so loving. Everything feels safe with her and trusts her.

You are a special daughter who means so much to me. The day you were born, there wasn't a lovelier sight to see. I am glad God gave you to me. Your love and devotion has been my reason, to get through many tough times, and through many seasons. As you have grown up, your beauty shines through, with a wonderful smile that shows the real you. You have a heart that is made of gold and I know it will stay that way, as you grow old. You make me proud that you are who you are. The bond that we have will keep us close, and no matter where you are, you won't seem far. The closeness we have will never depart, cause there is so much love that connects you to my heart. I am glad my daughter, that you are mine, because having you in my life makes my sun shine. Copyright by Judith Pleasant 2003

7 Gifts

Read this on another blog and love how it encourages my heart ...intentionality with my children.Enjoy...

Here is a list of Seven Gifts Which Do Not Cost a Cent:
1. The gift of listening - But you must really listen. No interrupting, no daydreaming, no planning your response ... just listen.

2. The gift of affection - with appropriate hugs, kisses, snuggling, pats on the back and handholding. These small actions demonstrate love in a powerful way.

3. The gift of laughter - share amusing stories, humorous cartoons, jokes, etc. Laughter establishes a bond between people.

4. The gift of a handwritten note - kind words change lives and last a lifetime.

5. The gift of a compliment - a simple, kind and sincere remark can change how a person feels about him/herself.

6. The gift of a favor - the simplest things like getting a glass of juice for your child or putting away hubby's shoes for him may not seem like much but demonstrate kindness to others in a big way.

7. The gift of a cheerful disposition - the easiest way to feel good is to extend a kind word to someone. look him/her in the eye and speak kindly, from the heart with sincerity.

{Proverbs 15:13 A Happy heart makes the face cheerful.}
